The Origin of SHADES…

In the year 2020, a husband and wife decided to pursue a lifelong passion - photography - during the uncertainty of a worldwide pandemic. With friends and family serving as practice subjects - a relative with an upcoming wedding swayed this couple in the direction of monochrome guest portraiture. Naturally, this couple said yes because they loved the challenge and they loved to challenge each other.

That husband and wife duo is us. We had gatherings in our home where realtors and mortgage brokers along with couples and friends humored our efforts with their liquid courage of choice and sometimes - cigars in hand. It was fun and there was laughter. We knew we could bring that fun and laughter to so many lives.

With each home session, the excitement grew. We knew we were on to something beautiful. We were not wrong because we have all of your beautiful images to show for it and we cannot wait to capture more.

We chose the name “SHADES” because we all have our shades and all of our shades are beautiful. We hope to capture yours.
